FOr Entering Students
The MSPP Information Systems staff is available to assist you by providing solutions to your computing needs. If you have a malfunctioning laptop or desktop system, we may be able to make recommendations to restore your computer to peak performance. Please contact Jeff Choo at 617-327-6777 x1202 or e-mail Jeff at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
All students are assigned an MSPP e-mail account. This is your lifeline to all electronic school-wide announcements and is the preferred method of communication with faculty and staff. You will receive instructions on how to activate your e-mail account and we strongly encourage you to check your e-mail regularly for important messages and updates. Your email user id and password is also your user id and password for access to MyCampus.
MyCampus is MSPP’s intranet system that allows students, faculty and staff to share information and workflow, thereby providing a one-stop electronic portal for e-mail, course readings, discussions, registration and more. MyCampus is designed to provide students with a single site where they can communicate with faculty, obtain course information, access event calendars, connect with Wimba, (a distance learning system), and receive news via bulletin boards and news forums.
MSPP provides wireless internet access throughout the entire campus. Our wireless network utilizes the IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11a LAN standards and students may access the internet, MyCampus, or wirelessly print a document using any mobile computing device equipped with a wireless LAN adapter.
Students who enroll in a program that utilizes a blended delivery format will receive hands-on training on system navigation and course access during Fundamentals Week.
MSPP’s Wimba Classroom is a cutting edge virtual classroom model that facilitates live interaction between faculty and students, using communication and presentation tools that simulate the dynamics of an actual classroom. Wimba supports both synchronous and asynchronous learning by supporting live audio-video discussions, recorded lessons and other multi-media supplements. New students will be provided with Wimba training. You can also access a Wimba tutorial and user guide at www.mspp.edu/wimba.
For additional questions about Wimba, please contact Dan Brockman at 617-327-6777 x1512 or email email@example.com.
