Transfer of Academic Credit
Incoming students may submit a petition to transfer graduate-level credits earned at another accredited institution. The following conditions apply:
- The grade awarded must equal or exceed ‘B’
- The coursework must have been completed within ten years prior to matriculation at MSPP.
- No more than 20% of the total credits comprising a degree program may be satisfied through transfer credit; certain degree programs may further limit the acceptability of transfer credit.
- The determination of acceptance of transfer credit is the responsibility of the Department Chair.

(Students requesting transfer of credit for a doctoral program should note that only courses taught by doctoral level faculty can be considered for transfer of credit.)
