You will be assigned an advisor by your Department Chair in mid to late June. Your advisor’s name and contact information will be sent to your MSPP e-mail address. Generally, your advisor assignment will remain the same for your entire program of study.

Transfer of Academic Credit

Incoming students may submit a petition to transfer graduate-level credits earned at another accredited institution. The following conditions apply:

  1. The grade awarded must equal or exceed ‘B’
  2. The coursework must have been completed within ten years prior to matriculation at MSPP.
  3. No more than 20% of the total credits comprising a degree program may be satisfied through transfer credit; certain degree programs may further limit the acceptability of transfer credit.
  4. The determination of acceptance of transfer credit is the responsibility of the Department Chair.

(Students requesting transfer of credit for a doctoral program should note that only courses taught by doctoral level faculty can be considered for transfer of credit.)
