General George W. Casey, Jr.

Special Welcome

George William Casey, Jr., a retired four star United States Army General, was commander of the multinational force in Iraq from 2004-2007. He then became the 36th U.S. Army chief of staff, in charge of 1.1 million people and an annual budget of more than $200 billion. General Casey retired in 2011 after 41 years in the Army, but remains extraordinarily active and engaged, working for causes he holds dear. Casey is deeply committed to improving the way the Army cares for its wounded soldiers and their families. "We have a volunteer force and if we're going to sustain it, soldiers and their families have to believe we care about them and are there for them," he says.
