SCH PM601—
PROJECTIVE METHODS II: INTERPRETATION STRATEGIES USING THE RORSCHACH AND OTHER PROJECTIVE TESTS
(2 credits)
This course is a continuation of PM600 and is designed to give students the ability to learn the basics of Rorschach interpretation and how to communicate the Rorschach findings into clear jargon-free clinically useful feedback. The course will present strategies for interpretation using the Comprehensive System. Specific protocols will be presented to facilitate a deeper appreciation of cluster analysis and thematic interpretation. Additional projective methods, which are currently used in assessment batteries, will be presented. These include: The Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), the TEMAS (Tell Me A Story), and Figure Drawings. The course will focus on interpretation of projective material in child, adolescent, and adult cases.
