INTRODUCTION TO LATINO CULTURE
This course introduces students to the variety of Hispanic cultures, from Spain to the Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America. It provides a brief exposition of the geography, history, people, politics, economics, and other social characteristics. The unique as well as common aspects of these cultures will be discussed. The course is targeted to first-year students who have joined the Latino Mental Health Program. Both Spanish and English will be used throughout the course according to the level of Spanish fluency of participants.
