(3 credits)

evaluated based on research relevant to various aspects of thinking and feeling and how they influence behavior. Students will be able to see how cognition and affect are multi-dimensional in nature and address specific topics ranging from memory, categorization, language, reasoning and problem solving. Their implications for contemporary issues will be addressed in several areas of application including regulation of affect and behavior in everyday life and in special states such as trauma. Current controversies will be explored from a variety of perspectives including emerging fields addressing the interplay of the two.

Prerequisite: CLI FP705 or SCH PA725.
