GCEC

Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching Program (GCEC)

Executive Coaching is a powerful tool for building the skills of leaders in organizations and helping them to achieve key business results. Executive coaching is also a rapidly growing career field where professionals with diverse backgrounds find new and exciting opportunities.

“Worldwide, companies spend about $1 billion each year on executive coaches – people who work one-on-one with managers to help them better perform their jobs. Psychologists with expertise in both behavior change and business culture are uniquely qualified to fill this niche.”

MSPP’s program in executive coaching stands apart from other training programs. In fact, MSPP offers the only graduate school program in executive coaching in New England, and there are only a few of its kind in the entire country. You will study in a challenging and academically rigorous environment and, upon graduation, earn a certificate from an accredited graduate school. This one-year, part-time program is:

Multi-disciplinary in Approach
At MSPP, the subject matter is a rich mix of psychology, business, organization development, coaching theory, principles and practices, and assessment. During your first semester, you will gain an exceptionally strong foundation of cutting-edge knowledge. This broad base of knowledge will serve as the springboard to your second semester of study when you develop and refine your coaching skills according to your individual needs and interests.

“It has now been two years since I finished at MSPP and ventured out on my own (something I had feared). I’ve had plenty of work so far, and hope it will continue in this terrible economy. I have absolutely NO regrets leaving my secure position to train at MSPP.”

—Katie Gray, Unique Potential Consulting & Leadership Coaching Alumna, Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching

Practice-Focused with a Strong Support Network
MSPP’s GCEC program culminates in a practicum where you will provide coaching to an executive. Your work will be supervised by a master coach, and you will participate in regular peer coaching with your cohort group of fellow students who, as working professionals with backgrounds in diverse fields, will enhance your learning and skills.
