In addition, students are required to take a minimum of nine hours of electives. Please note that not all electives are offered every semester and must have sufficient enrollment to run.
COU ET601 – Practical Approaches in Expressive Arts Therapy
Finally, all students must participate in a Capstone Project Seminar that culminates in the production of an independent scholarly project. The Capstone Project will demonstrate the student’s ability to think about and evaluate critically important issues in the field of professional mental health counseling and the skills and roles of a professional mental health counselor. The finished project will be planned and conducted under the supervision of the Seminar Instructor and will involve both a substantial written paper and an oral presentation in the Seminar.
