Core Faculty, Doctoral Program, 2009-2010 Academic Year [back to top]

The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology is seeking Doctoral Psychologists who will become core faculty. Core faculty members teach mutiple courses and are integral in student advisement, doctoral research, and program governance. Core faculty positions require a commitment of half-time or more. Applicants must have demonstrated an investment in scholarship as well as expertise in the areas taught.

Courses to be taught include:
Cognitive & Affective Basis of Behavior
Research
Diversity and Cross Cultural Psychology
Adult Psychopathology
Child Psychotherapy

Director of Professional Development [back to top]

The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology is seeking an individual to serve as the Director of Professional Development. This is a part-time position (20-32 hours) reporting to the Dean of the Doctoral program.

The Director of Professional Development is responsible for leading MSPP’s career services activities for all professional programs. These activities include administering workshops for both students and alumni on such topics as interview skills and resume writing, along with being available to students and alumni for personal advisement.

The Director of Professional Development is expected to develop relationships with employers, maintain a referral network, provide guidance on licensure and certification requirements, provide mentoring opportunities for students and aid in the search for new field sites for student practicum and internship placements. Additionally, the Director should maintain documentation on alumni placement and employment along with alumni and employer satisfaction data.

The ideal applicant will posess a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of business experience, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be a detailed-oriented problem solver with great multi-tasking and research skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required. Career Center or Human Resource experience is highly desirable.

Director of Workforce Development [back to top]

The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology is seeking an individual to serve as the Director of Workforce Development. This is a full-time position with duties that will include the recruiting, mentoring & placing of mental health students who are interested in careers in public sector mental health. This position works closely with the Lucero Latino Mental Health Program (LMHP), the admissions office, the academic program director and the office of professional development. The ideal applicant will posess a Masters or Doctorate degree in education, mental health or a related discipline. Foreign language competency is highly desirable.

Director, Masters Program in Counseling and Forensic Psychology [back to top]

The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology is seeking an individual to serve as the director for the Master’s program in Counseling and Forensic Psychology. This is a full-time position. Duties include: overseeing all aspects of the institution’s M.A. programs in Counseling Psychology and Forensic Psychology, including: development and implementation of traditional and distance-learning curricula; faculty recruitment and management; student recruitment, admissions and management; program quality evaluation and management; integration of both programs with the Lucero Latino Mental Health Program (LMHP); development of continuing education and other programming consistent with the MSPP institutional mission; teaching, participation and collaboration with other MSPP programs; and service to the institution and community.

The desired applicant will posess a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology; have a strong administrative and academic background as well as an investment in professional scholarship.
