Chad E. Tillbrook, PhD

Dr. Tillbrook graduated from the University of Alabama in 2000 with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a Concentration in Psychology and Law. He completed his predoctoral internship at New York University School of Medicine and Bellevue Hospital in 2000, and then completed the Postdoctoral Fellowship in Forensic Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Law and Psychiatry Program in 2001. For approximately 10 years, he was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Law and Psychiatry Program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and forensic psychologist at Worcester State Hospital. In June 2011, he was hired as a forensic psychologist at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center at Devens. He was licensed as a psychologist in Massachusetts in 2003. Dr. Tillbrook’s primary interests are criminal competencies, malingering, and risk assessment. He has presented and written articles and book chapters on a variety of topics related to these research interests. Most notably, he is a co-author of the Evaluation of Competency to Stand Trial-Revised (2004).
