Michael Madera, PsyD

Michael Madera is President of Madera Partners Consulting. He supports leaders and organizations in achieving their goals while stimulating creativity, inspiration and deepening insights. A favorite quote: “If you cannot find the truth right where you are, where else do you expect to find it?” (Dogen) Michael is an executive coach and organizational development specialist with 20 years experience in the areas of individual development and organizational consulting. Clients report that his depth of knowledge and experience, delivered with humor, optimism and directness helps people develop needed leadership skills and supports positive change in organizations. He regularly provides executive and leadership coaching, pre-hire and developmental assessments, off-site and strategy meeting facilitation, team and leadership development solutions, and helps family and closely-held businesses thrive.

Michael has business experience in line and consulting roles. As an entrepreneur, he managed two food products companies before seeking his psychology degree. He served as VP Sales & Marketing for a family-owned startup software company in the late 1990’s, and then as Senior Consultant for Knickerbocker & Stevens, Inc, a Boston-based management psychology consulting firm.

Michael is Past President of the New England Society for Applied Psychology. He is a Contributing Member of the Executive Coaching Forum. He is a certified Family Business Advisor through The Family Firm Institute, where he will soon be teaching Advisor certification courses in Spanish and English. He recently served as a Facilitator in the Families in Business course at Harvard Business School.

Michael received his doctorate from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (MSPP), where his research focused on creativity and personal development in corporate managers. His Masters degree in Spanish is from Middlebury College, and his BA cum laude from Vassar College.

Michael teaches Assessment in Executive Coaching.
