Gayle L. Macklem, MA, LEP
Gayle Macklem is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and a Massachusetts licensed School Psychologist and Educational Psychologist. She has served in the field of education for over 30 years, serving as a school psychologist/team chairperson and as an adjunct instructor in school psychology. She has developed a number of prevention programs including The Structured Learning Program, The Reading Initiative, The Math Merits Program, Project Link, Bullying Prevention and a multi-tiered Program for Social/Emotional Development. She also teaches in the Counseling and School Psychology Program at the University of Massachusetts Boston. A former president of the Massachusetts School Psychologists Association (MSPA), she serves as the Technology Chairperson and edits the website of the state association. Gayle has worked as an author of the Open Circle Social Competency curriculum and is author of Bullying and teasing: Social power in children’s groups (2003), Kluwer Academic/Plenum Publishers and Practitioner’s guide to emotion regulation in school-aged children (2008), published by Springer.
