Dr. Frumer Styron has been a member of the faculty since 2012 and currently teaches Applications in Clinical Health Psychology and Advanced Topics in Health Psychology. She is presently serving as the Interim Director of the Health Psychology concentration She has also taught Psychopathology of Children and Adolescents. Dr. Frumer Styron comes with a background in pediatric psychology and a specialty in oncology. She worked at The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for over 23 years, seeing patients and their families as outpatients at the Dana-Farber and inpatient at Children's Hospital who have been affected by diagnosis, treatment, loss, and death. She also served as the Training Director and supervisor for graduate students in the fields of social work and psychology. She is currently the Clinical Director of The Children's Room, a bereavement center for grieving children and families in Arlington, MA. She has a private practice in Lexington, MA. where she sees children and adults with a focus on health, illness, and loss. Dr. Frumer Styron has been a meditation practitioner for over twenty-five years and has a particular interest in mindfulness meditation for children and parents and the application of mindfulness in the area of health psychology.
