Bruce Ecker, PhD

Bruce Ecker is a licensed clinical and educational psychologist with 30 years experience working in clinics, hospitals, and schools. He was trained in school psychology at the University of Minnesota, where he took coursework at the Institute of Child Development. He received his Ph.D. from the Clinical Psychology Training Program at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He was a Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School and has been on the clinical faculties of Tufts University School of Medicine and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He has consulted to school systems, pediatrics offices, and residential treatment centers. Dr. Ecker directs the child clinical concentration, Children and Families of Adversity and Resilience, in the Department of Clinical Psychology. He has dual appointments in the Departments of Clinical Psychology and School Psychology. Dr. Ecker was awarded the MSPP Excellence in Teaching Award in 2011.
